Andrew brings exceptional leadership and governance experience to his role as Chair of the Board for Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Trust. With a distinguished 35-year career in Her Majesty’s Prison Service, including roles in physical education and national staff assessment, Andrew has developed strong skills in strategic oversight, people development, and operational excellence. His deep commitment to Catholic education is evident through years of service as a Foundation Governor and Chair at St Benedict’s, where he helped guide the school into the Trust. A passionate advocate for community and values-driven leadership, Andrew combines his professional expertise with a lifelong dedication to fostering strong, faith-based educational environments.

Building on forty-one years of working in schools and government, my focus now is on leadership and governance. Using my expertise in school improvement and leadership, I want to concentrate on the structures, policy and frameworks which secure good provision for all. The education sector is a particular interest, but not exclusively. I have retired from full-time work, and I am looking to contribute to the development of robust leadership and governance for the twenty-first century. I am looking for the opportunity both to contribute to the thinking about, and the implementation of, new and effective ways of securing accountability and supporting improvement and inclusivity.

Mark has been a school governor for over twenty years; he was the Chair of Governors at St Alban's Catholic Primary School in Cambridge, during which time the school gained outstanding judgements for both Ofsted and Section 48 inspections. His high-calibre skills in technology, developing structures, finance and organisation are of great value to t

For the last eight years, Joanna has been Governor and Chair of Governors for St Alban's Catholic High School in Ipswich and, more recently, Chair of Governors at St Pancras Catholic Primary School in Ipswich, where she helped both schools secure good Ofsted judgements. Joanna has joined the Directors as of 1st September 2023. Her professional career is centred on managing a large home care company. Joanna's skills in audit, equality and diversity, SEND and quality frameworks add significant impact and guidance to our Trust.

I originally trained as a middle school teacher, but then retrained as an Occupational Therapist, specialising in working with children. This has given me a particular interest and insight into the issues and concerns for children with additional needs and SEND. I now work for the Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology and, for the past few years, have been involved in delivering different types of inservice courses to many of the schools within the Diocese. Catholic Schools hold a unique place within our wider Church Context. I know how welcoming and nurturing our schools are for the children who attend, their parents and the staff working in them. I am very pleased to serve as a Director for the OLOW Trust.
